The Opportunity

Golf is big.

Golf is more than a sport in the U.S. To some it’s a way of life. Majors Challenge offers an unparalleled platform for golf pools. Our platform is designed for the average golf enthusiast, not hard-core fantasy players.

108MM

Number of Americans who played golf (on- or off-course), watched the sport or read about it in 2019

Golfers are always playing for something.

Even amateur golfers often have something riding on their next putt, from drinks at the 19th hole to cash money to bragging rights. Majors Challenge allow golfers and golf enthusiasts to scratch that itch – even when they aren’t playing a round.

Familiar rules and simple screens built for the average golf fan.

The simplest way to run - and compete in - a golf pool!

Our product has a wide appeal. Think of it like “March Madness” but for golf.

How Majors Challenge Works

Majors Challenge simplifies golf pools.

Start a league

Use our secure platform to start a golf pools league around PGA events – and invite friends to join.

Pick your golfers

Select a team of 12 golfers across four tiers. There’s no “salary cap” so go ahead and choose all your favorite pros!

Follow the action

Watch the real-time leaderboard all weekend long.  You’ll be rooting for – and against – golfers like never before!

Running a golf pool on Majors Challenge is as easy as playing. A league can be set up in less than a minute. Tournaments run every week, not just for the majors. Compete against your friend’s week-by-week or in a FedEx style season long contest. Private leagues pay service charge to administer a league while golfing organizations pay an annual subscription.

Why Majors Challenge

Majors Challenge was made by and for golf fans. Our simple rules mirror what you’ll see in an actual golf tournament, which is why regular golf enthusiasts love our product. We provide a non-intimidating, user-friendly version of fantasy golf that is easy to set up and participate in. The golfing community is a loyal base of fanatics who appreciate products dedicated to their passion, and our mission is to deliver a best-in-class experience.

Where does one find golf enthusiasts looking to play along with PGA tournaments who are not necessarily into traditional fantasy golf? Everywhere golf is.

Trusted by Golf Clubs

Majors Challenge continues to expand our universe of participating golf clubs. Clubs and other golf facilities pay an annual subscription to run pools for their membership on our platform. Most clubs use their golf pool to drive additional golf shop sales, so it’s a net money maker for the club and an engaging experience for the members. There are currently over 100 private clubs running Majors Challenge in 31 states.

Charity Fundraisers

Starting in 2022 we’ll be hosting charity golf pools for local and national organizations with 501(c)(3) status. These charities will leverage the platform as a fundraiser and Majors Challenge will donate net proceeds to their cause. Charity has long been a mission of the PGA and the golfing community. We are happy to contribute by supporting and promoting these efforts.

Businesses and Publications

There is no shortage of regional and national golf businesses and publications dedicated to everything golf. Looking to find new and unique ways to engage their customers, these businesses are turning to golf pools. Like golf clubs, organizations pay an annual subscription for unlimited annual use of the platform.

Average Golf Enthusiasts

Businesses working with Majors Challenge are able to offer their members a unique and engaging experience that contributes to their bottom line. Their membership falls within our core demographic – the average golf enthusiast. Relationships with these organizations provide a more efficient and cost-effective channel to reach potential new users than traditional digital marketing.

PGA Partners

The PGA of America is comprised of nearly 29,000 members across 14 districts and 41 sections. The PGA of America is also one of the largest sports organizations in the world, and the preeminent steward for the game of golf. Our partnership lends us tremendous credibility in the golf industry and allows us to better foster relationships with individual sections.

These 41 members sections within the PGA of America are the key to reaching our target audience. The PGA sections are the gatekeepers to the 29,000 members with whom they already have established digital relationships. Clubs within a section are also uniquely supportive of section partners because each section has their own unique mission to grow the game of golf. We have already partnered with two of the largest sections in the country and are developing a playbook to launch more successful partnerships at scale.

Business Partners

Majors Challenge partners with regional and national organizations to reach our key demographic – the average golf fan who enjoys a friendly wager. These relationships, as well as new opportunities we’re developing, have the unique characteristic of being paying customers while also providing us users in our key demographic. Many of these users develop into paying private league and cash-game customers.

Meet the Team

Daniel Pitluk

Founder & CEO
Dan founded Majors Challenge with the purpose of solving a simple problem, his own.  Running a golf pool in excel was frustrating.  Years before the arrival of Daily Fantasy Sports, and even before the iPhone, Dan started an online golf pool with simple rules and broad appeal.  The idea was to replicate the excitement and engagement every year surrounding NCAA March Madness but for the PGA Majors.  After a dozen years growing the golf pool he found increasing demand for the product, so he raised initial funds from existing players and formed Majors Challenge. Dan is a lifelong entrepreneur with a background in Information Technology and software development.  Prior to Majors Challenge he founded a consulting company providing master data management services to several Fortune 100 companies.  Dan holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.  At Majors Challenge Dan oversees all day-to-day operations including product architecture and design, schedules, budgets, product roadmaps, partnerships and corporate messaging.  He is a self-proclaimed golf nut and proud new owner of a single-digit handicap.

Michael Gallagher

Director of Operations

Mike is a sports enthusiast with a passion for the business side of the industry. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a Master’s in Sports Business from NYU. Prior to joining Majors Challenge he worked in football operations at both the collegiate level for the Virginia Cavaliers, and the professional level for MBK Sports. Mike runs a leadership podcast ranked in the top 10% worldwide, has self-published a book on organizational culture, and is in the first cohort of people to ever pass all 3 levels of the CFA exams in under a year. In January 2020 Mike joined Majors Challenge as Director of Operations.

Edmund Woronicz, Jr.

Director of Business Development

Edmund is a 40+ year member of the PGA of America with extensive professional, coaching and business experience in many segments of the golf industry.  He’s held positions including Head Golf Professional, VP of Golf Operations at Natural Golf Inc, Executive Director of Golf to End Cancer, Director of Sales for the PGA Champions Tour: Encompass Championship, Director of Business Development in the golf travel industry, Owner of Creative Golf Solutions and Managing Partner of an international import company. Edmund is highly skilled at business development, channel building, branding, marketing, sales and sales management. Throughout his career he has demonstrated the ability to build and lead successful teams, drive sales, develop and nurture strategic relationships, and forge long term partnerships.  As a result, he’s helped many organizations within the golf industry and business community successfully reach and exceed their desired goals. In January 2022 Edmund joined Majors Challenge as Director of Business Development.

Real Money Contests

Majors Challenge has spent the past year developing a new offering that will generate additional revenue and increase operating margins. Leveraging an existing and growing user base, users within permitted geographies will be able to participate in golf pools by depositing funds to the Majors Challenge platform. Contest winners will receive cash prizes that can be withdrawn back to their bank account any time. This offering adheres to all regulatory frameworks and provides users with a traditional DFS format they might already be familiar with. Cash contests are a great opportunity for users to leverage their lineups into additional higher reward contests. We expect these contests to provide a consistent, high margin revenue stream.
